FEATURED LINKS, Page 2
Let's keep the list going. You can spend hours just reading about events and ideas related to freethinking. It's much more enjoyable than watching the 700 Club.

FEATURED LINK:
VEGETARIAN DINOS

Here's a nice article I used to read up on carnivores being designed as herbivores--a most ridiculous Creationist theory.
FEATURED LINK:
GHOST WHISPERER PARODY IM ICONS

A lowbrow response to this tearjerker show about clueless people looking for the light.
FEATURED LINK:
PZ MEYERS expelled from Expelled

This is a hilarous little anecdote from the Pharyngula Blog. It seems security kept PZ Meyers out of Ben Stein's movie Expelled but let PZ's famous guest in without realizing who he was.
FEATURED LINK:
JESUS PEOPLE, The Series

You'll recognize several character actors in this web video series from Seinfeld to The Office to Mad TV. It's humor that's dry but to the point and they hit the mark several times. The site has all of the series plus a music video.
FEATURED LINK:
BEN STEIN'S NEW MOVIE

I haven't been able to see this yet so I need to reserve final judgment. From what I've read though, Mr. Stein has done a pro intelligent design movie even going as far as splicing Hitler clips into it. That's a big a tip off that it's bullshit, because when people use the Nazis as evidence these days it's a sign of desperation to make a point without an argument.
FEATURED LINK:
WAFA SULTAN

In the opinion of this Muslim Woman, criticizing Islam will make it better.
FEATURED LINK:
MARTIAN MUSEUM OF ART

A different way of presenting art, through the eyes of extraterrestrial anthropologists.
FEATURED LINK: KUNSTLER CAST PODCAST
Duncan Crary's New project, take a listen:
"Each week I interview James Howard Kunstler, who's probably the world's loudest critic of suburban sprawl. He wrote the landmark anti-sprawl book "The Geography of Nowhere" about 15 years ago, and more recently, 'The Long Emergency' about the end of cheap oil."
FEATURED LINK: ANTI-CHRIST INVESTMENTS
Christians are helping to bring about the end times with targeted mutual funds and stocks.
FEATURED LINK: SPIDERMAN 3 CHRISTIAN MOVIE REVIEW
I finally saw this on DVD as I am a Sam Raimi fan and was amazed at how "very Christian themed" it was in the storyline. So then I decided to check out some Christian movie reviews because I thought they would be salivating at how much this movie portrays their values--but many of them are still bitchin' about petty things like possible Peter Parker womanizing (the bad Peter when Venom takes over), violence and a French joke on Peter's last name.
Jesus H Christ! This is the perfect Christian film (even with some of the plotline flaws) without having to be in your face about it. Peter literally tears off his evil side (the symbiote) in a church--how's that for symbolism. And ultimately we are left with the theme of forgiveness (which can also be a humanist theme as well). Christian reviewers wake up. Sam Raimi gave you a superhero movie and you're picking it apart. This should be up there with The Passion of the Christ (another superhero movie if I might say so).
Here's one Christian Reviewer that got it. Except that Ted Baehr still went on a content rampage. Check out his content warning--upper male nudity, fangs and other ridiculous stuff.
FEATURED LINK: SCIENCE BASED MEDICINE
One of my pet peeves is homeopathy and quacks. Here's a new site dedicated towards medicine that's peer reviewed instead of hyped by Oprah.
FEATURED LINK: CAPTAIN ATHEIST
I know I have a weird sense of humor and so does Jerry McMasters. Check out his parody of fundamentalist atheists.
FEATURED LINK: FAITH IN FUNNIES
Beliefnet has a collection up of editorial cartoons concerning religion.
FEATURED LINK: INDIAN COMEDIAN
This is Papa CJ with some British style humor even as he is poking fun at the Brits. I love cultural humor.
FEATURED LINK: HUMANIST CHAPLAIN BLOG
Did you know Harvard had a Humanist Chaplain? Read Greg Epstein's blog.
FEATURED LINK: MALEVOLENT DESIGN
Creationists think in terms of a perfect and beautiful creation. But Rev Atheistar understands differently.
FEATURED LINK: SOCIETY OF ONTARIO FREETHINKERS
I don't think I've plugged these guys yet--Canadian freethinkers. Their site is working on Freethought TV.
FEATURED LINK: Dubbed Jesus Videos with new dialogue
This is just someone having fun with vintage Jesus movies.
FEATURED LINK: VISA says demon sex is equivalent to bestiality.
Warning: This link does contain imagesl. The only reason I'm listing it here is that it shows how ridiculous Visa is. They are saying you cannot depict monsters and demons having sex with humans because it's bestiality; apparently they must think these creatures are real.
FEATURED LINK: The coming Atheist Schism?
It seems like controversy is brewing between "Atheist Fundies" and the "Let's Get Along Atheists". I say lighten up, everyone. But I'm predicting as the atheist movement grows we will divide along certain lines of thinking--just like religion does. I think it's human nature to do so. Hopefully everyone can keep a sense of humor about it.
FEATURED LINK: The Secret Files of The Inquisition
This is a more indepth documentary that I haven't seen yet but it looks interesting. There are trailers you can watch for each episode.
FEATURED LINK: The Prophet Mohammed's Official Site
It's about time Mo got his website up. Maybe he can shed some light on all the mayhem is religion is causing.
FEATURED LINK: PENTECOSTAL RULES
Ed Babinski was trying to figure out if this site is serious or not. Seeing that it is someone's Earthlink homepage I'm guessing that it is. More rules for Godly living than even Congress can come up with.
FEATURED LINK: TOURNIQUET SPAWNS AN INFIDEL
Tourniquet is a well known Christian Speed Metal band. One of it's founding members has decided all of his former lyrics that he played to are hogwash. When I was a Christian I loved this band. Fact is, I still listen to them on Real Rhapsody. Despite the lyrics, they are that good. First album will make you laugh though, King Crimson impression gone haywire--still love it though.
FEATURED LINK: JOHNNY HART DIES AT 76
The reason this interests me is for one, I liked the cartoonist's work; and two, he put his Christian beliefs into his strip series B.C. including some creationism.
